The new face of dance-music in West Ashley… I got my new setup, including a cartridge upgrade (without the nifty case); spent the better part of two hours cleaning the permanent marker off the turntables, but they look shiny and new and run smoother than any decks I’ve played on. Promptly marked the things with my stencil.

Greetings… As usual, I have nothing to say. Had a Christmas dinner at the parents’ house Friday where the McCartney family was present. Interesting but uncomfortable evening. Too much food. Had lunch, movie, dinner with the parents today (say Meet the Fockers, so-so at best). Got my December car payment paid for me by dad, which was cool, so I spent all that money on unnecessary shit. Misi and Jessica baught me the Clerks animated series on DVD: having watched one of the two discs, I now see why only two of the six episodes were aired. Not a bad series per-se, just not quite what you’d expect from Kevin Smith. Misi and Jessica also got me two records, or rather, they got me two albums: a New Order single and an Ennio Morricone Remix thing (three records, very down tempo, housie stuff, but I think I can use a few tracks). Mom insisted I can’t leave the house without taking an ass-load of food with me: so now I won’t be going hungry for a few, well, WEEKS. I also finally got my Firefly DVDs back, so now I can watch Serenity romp/stomp across the galaxy (when it’s not breaking down, that is).
To everyone: I want to wish all a happy (albeit, a little late) holiday season. Fair warning, don’t eat too much ’cause it’ll hurt.

My dear roomie got my tire patched (4 free, no less… very cool) and proceeded 2 attach said tire (well, wheel 2, I guess) 2 my Fucus, which was incredibly nice of him. Had 2 haul ass home 2 get my shit b4 the office closed, but when I got there, the office manager was very psyched that a resident ordered shit from DanceRecords.com, she and her boyfriend (a DJ) both being avid dance music fans. I don’t think my decks have been sent yet, which pisses me off just a tad. Its been a cool weekend so far, even with the flat I got Friday (Gerald’s: “can’t do anything for you today: it’s too late”). My first batch of records is apparently locked in the apartment’s office, so I will not see them until Monday afternoon at best. But it’s all good, my Moby rmx should have arrived by then, as well.
